Egyptian President will meet Turkish Prime Minister in Cairo to discuss Gaza crisis

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced that he will arrive in Cairo on Saturday, 17 November 2012, to meet Egyptian President Mohamed Morsy to discuss the Gaza-Israeli crisis and the terrible escalation of violence.

According to the official press-statement of the Turkish Prime Minister, the leaders of the both countries will hold a press conference in order to discuss the situation and to make a joint statement regarding the violent Israeli attacks against the besieged Gaza Strip and the Hamas responds firing the rockets into Israel.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan has also said he is planning to contact the number of other countries, which are the world leaders, such as USA and Russia, for example, in attempt to find the solution for resolving the conflict, which is only escalating on the current stage.

It’s worth mentioning that Turkey doesn’t have any official, political or diplomatic relations with Israel, so the Prime Minister stressed there is no possibility for the communication between Turkish and Israeli officials.

Egyptian President Mohamed Morsy and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan are expected to achieve some efforts on the path towards the peaceful solution of the crisis between Hamas based in Gaza and Israel.

Turkish Prime Minister has called on the UN Security Council to help to halt the Israeli violence and their terrible assault targeting the civilians. Egyptian President Mohamed Morsy has also called on UN and international community to take all the possible measure in order to resolve the situation.

In addition to that the official delegation from Egypt which consisted from Egypt’s Prime Minister Hesham Kandeel and state’s high officials arrived on Friday in Gaza to show their support. Israeli Defense Forces stopped the attacks for the time of the visit of the official delegation.

Arab League has also declared it will hold an emergency meeting to discuss the Gaza crisis and to work on the peaceful plan and measures for the international pressure against Israel calling on it to stop their assault.

According to the latest information, nearly 30 people, most of whom were civilians including children, have been killed as a result of the Israeli attacks. Thousands of the buildings are destroyed, the people are terrified. According to the reports electricity and connection are cut in Gaza.

IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) reported 3 deaths from the Israel side.

There are also the reports that Israel has blocked three roads leading to Gaza. The additional military troops and weapons have been deployed in the area, and IDF is waiting for the approval of the ministers to deploy 75,000 reserved soldiers on the border with Gaza.

The meeting of Egyptian President and Turkish Prime Minister considers being an important step in the resolving of the Gaza-Israeli violent crisis. Actually Egypt is expected to be the mediator of the conflict, so I personally hope that this meeting scheduled for tomorrow will bring the good efforts and will help to prevent the escalation of violence which takes the lives of the people from the both sides.
