Saudi Arabia-lead coalition continues massive military operation in
Yemen dubbed “Storm of Resolve”. Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan,
Bahrain and United Arab Emirates have joined this military operation against
Shia militants Houthi, apparently backed by Iran and loyal to the former
President Ali Abdullah Saleh, who was overthrown after more than a year of
deadly uprising.
Saudi and Arab allies warplanes continue aerial strikes of Yemeni
capital Sanaa, where the militants have their strongholds, and of the
neighboring areas as well, striking Houthis’ military bases and facilities
including the missiles and rockets storages.
Fighter jets bomb Sanaa and the neighboring area for the fifth day, and
the battles continue till now, according to the Yemeni based reporters and
local residents.
In addition to that positions held by the Houthis militants and also
Iran backed Republican Guard, located close to the Presidential Palace, were also
hit during the latest attacks. Republican Guard military camp in Southern Sanaa
was also hit.

Military radar facilities and missiles ground-to-air complexes of
Houthis, located in Marib, nearly 140 km east of Sanaa, were also targeted and
hit by the strikes of the coalition forces.
In Western part of Yemen, near the port city of Hodeida, Houthis’
anti-aircraft defense weapons and missiles were also hit by the Saudi-led
strikes.
Heavy blasts were reported to be seen in South Sanaa late on Monday
night, as Saudi and Arab allies aerial strikes continue. The storages of
weapons are believed to be hit, as the massive explosions have hit the
neighboring area, with the massive fire reported to be seen.
Meanwhile, Egyptian warships, sailed last week through the Suez Canal in
the framework of the joint military operation in Yemen, have shelled a column
of Houthi’s fighters and troops heading to the port city of Aden on Monday, 30
March.

Sky News Arabia has reportedly
cited its sources and confirmed the vessels were Egyptian.
Arab coalition spokesperson, Ahamed Asiri (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) has
declared that joint naval forces have besieged the ports of Yemen. The naval
forces are blocking the movement of ships and prevent any passage of Houthi’
fighters and weapons from the country and out of it.
The Saudi Arabia-led military coalition of Arab states has vowed to
continue military operation against the Iran backed Houthis, supporting ousted
President Ali Abdullah Saleh, until they will surrender and hand over their
weapons and abandon their insurrection against Yemeni President Abedrabbo
Mansour Hadi, who was forced to flee the country and is currently in Saudi
Arabia.
