National Dialog talks |
After Egypt’s President Mohamed Morsy announced the seventh National
Dialog to be held in Egypt several oppositional forces have announced their
intention to participate in the meeting aimed to discuss the controversial
issues of the state’s policy in order to find the solution in the current
political crisis in Egypt.
Egyptian President has been initiated the meetings named National
Dialogs after the political crisis has deepened in the country due to the
controversial presidential decrees, the draft of the Constitution and the referendum
which was strongly criticized by the country’s opposition. All the political
factions of Egypt have been invited to take part in the negotiations but the
oppositional forces headed by the umbrella organization National Salvation Front
(leaders Mohamed El Baradei, Amr Moussa and Hamdeen Sabbahy) used to reject the
invitations and boycotted the meeting claiming they are completely pointless in
the current situation in the country.
It was announced at the beginning of the week that several oppositional
forces including eight members of the National Salvation Front are expected to
participate in the seventh National Dialog initiated by Mohamed Morsy. Egypt’s
former Vice-President Mahmoud Mekki has announced it in his statement made
during the meeting dedicated to the upcoming meeting of the state’s political
forces scheduled for 9 January.
