President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski is concerned about the
situation and the events which are taking place in Ukraine after the
parliamentary elections. Mr. Komorowski expressed his concerns during his phone
conversation with Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovich which he had on Sunday,
reported the Ukrainian office of the Polish Radio with the reference of the
Polish Press Agency.
“President of Poland has expressed his concerns regarding the situation
with the counting of the votes and with the protraction of the announcing the
results of the elections. He is also very concerned about the numerous reports
about the serious violations during the votes’ counting at the single-mandate
electoral districts”, reported on 4 November Minister of the Polish President’s
Office Jaromir Sokołowski.
The latest events in Ukraine have the negative impact on the general
picture of the Ukrainian electoral process and could probably worsen the relations
between Ukraine and EU and even create the obstacles on the way on the signing
the Association Agreement, stressed Mr. Komorowski.
The phone conversation was the initiative of the Polish President.
